In this Video Mike prepares a Bone in Ham while I make some Down Home Southern Sides. The Ham was Absolutely Beautiful. The black eyed peas were cooked perfectly and had so much flavor. We sauteed our greens instead of stewing them. (Mike and Madie aren’t fans of stewed greens). A simple roast on the sweet potatoes made for a quick side and the Corn Bread Muffins I popped in the freezer that I had leftover from Bin 6 were the perfect choice for soaking up the soupy black eyed peas or topping with a slice of the Ham. We had lots of Ham leftover that we packaged up in different baggies. Sliced for Sandwiches and Breakfast Ham and Eggs. Chunks for Soup, Ham and Beans, & Casseroles. And of course we saved the Ham Bone for Stock and Soup! This meal was super tasty and the sides complimented the ham so well. I think we even impressed ourselves. Such a Delicious Southern Meal.
